FRIDAY FAVORITES

Every Friday I plan to highlight a few of my current "favorite things".

Since it's the month of October I want to show you my new favorite fall candle.

It's the PUMPKIN APPLE 3-wick candle from Bath and Body Works

You can click here to order or check your local store.  I bought mine on sale when they were 2 for $22, which is essentially half off.  I have bought 3 of these candles so far this fall.  I like it...ALOT!

My next favorite item is my new leopard scarf.  I'm seeing leopard everywhere right now and a scarf is an inexpensive way to jump on the trend.

I found mine at Old Navy
Although I have seen cute ones at tons of places.  Like this one at Target and this one from J. Crew (although it's a little pricey).

I've also seen this one from Forever 21 for under $10  and this one on clearance at Aeropostale for only $7.99. (reg. $29.99)

This scarf is SUPER cute and it's $18 from Nordstrom.  It's available at our local Nordstrom too!

I bought these Leopard Nikes from the NORDSTROM Anniversary Sale this summer.

I am wearing them all the time.  Several times a week.  They are so comfy & quite cute!

They are no longer on sale, but they can be found here.

This pair in black and white is very similar. I think they are equally cute!  These are 20% off right now at NORDSTROM.

Well, those are a just a few of my favorite things this Friday!  Enjoy the first weekend of OCTOBER!

Fun Fall Weekend

Every year we try and go to a Fall Festival in our area.  Our favorite one is held at the end of September in downtown Overland Park.  There is a car show, craft booths, vendors, tons of food, and a parade.

It was a beautiful day Saturday and it was one of those rare occasions when Paul didn't have to work.  We left the house and stopped for donuts, of course.  Then we walked around and enjoyed seeing everything.

Ava took a picture of Paul and I

I guess it pays to arrive early because a vendor approached Paul and the boys and offered to give them bow and arrows for free if they walked around with them.  He said it was a walking advertisement for his booth. That was such a fun surprise!

After we cruised through all the vendor booths it was time for the parade.  We were fortunate to run into some friends that were there and so it was really fun to watch with them.  Ava with her friend, Ava, and Roman, with his friend, Robin.  Little Hudson is in there too.

Of course, this guy was having the best time with his camo bow & arrow and his new firefighter hat.

Then we ran into more friends. Roman and his friend, Owen in a tree. (Roman climbs trees wherever we go)  I wish we had more established trees in our yard.  He loves climbing.

Before we left we stopped and listen to a really good band playing Jazz.

It was a gorgeous day for a fall festival.  I'm so glad we were able to go.  We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and then headed to our Saturday night service at church.

Here is a pic of Hudson sitting in my lap during church.   I love that he still wants to sit in my lap all the time.

Sunday morning Roman had a soccer game.  They won!!

We had another beautiful fall day for being outside, so we packed up the kid's bikes and headed to one of our favorite parks.

He was so happy!

We ended the evening at home with tacos for dinner.  We also had to work on a family presentation for Classical Conversations (our homeschool enrichment) on Monday morning.  It was a perfect weekend.
